In a park in east London, a newborn baby was found abandoned in a shopping bag.
The girl was named Roman by the nurse, and later on Thursday a woman walked the dog with her child after hearing the baby cry.
Metropolitan Police said Roman was wrapped in a white towel, which was put in a shopping bag and placed on the ground next to the children\'s playground bench.
No one tried to hide her, they added.
The woman called the emergency service immediately after finding the baby around 10.
At fifteen o\'clock P. M. in the afternoon, at the Roman road Park in the borough of Newham, near Saxon Road.
Police said they were \"increasingly concerned\" about her mother\'s welfare because they thought she might need urgent medical care.
Roman was in stable condition on Friday morning after being taken to east London hospital.
A photo released by the police showed that she was attracted by a intravenous drip and monitoring device.
Inspector Shane Clark of the Northeast Command unit, who turned directly to her mother for help, said: \"I urge you to contact the police, local hospitals or general practitioners for surgery.
It is very important that we know you are safe.
\"I also urge anyone with information that can help us get this child to come forward with a reunion with her mother.
